Composite Wall System to Increase Energy Efficiency and Reduce Lead Poisoning Hazards

 


This wall system encloses lead poisoning hazards under a 1.5 inch layer of rigid board insulation and a cellulose-reinforced gypsum board (Fiberbond) to add up to R12 to masonry walls. The system has been lab-tested for durability and is in field testing at the Brooks Homes Development at the Chicago Housing Authority.
